This weekend is Morgan's last weekend here at home, and the first weekend that Jake has been home in 3 weeks. Eddie and I thought it would be a good weekend to go to the lake. The one major problem is that Eddie's truck that I have bragged about in the past, isn't able to make the trip anymore. We aren't sure if we are going to buy a new truck or put in a new engine :(
So we decided to borrow one of our friends trucks and loan him one of our cars. Everyone was packed and just waiting for the truck to arrive. Then we would be off to the lake.
While we were waiting for the truck, Morgan got a phone call from a lady in Utah. Morgan has applied for a paid internship at a TV station in Salt Lake City. She has had one phone interview and this lady was calling to set up a face to face interview for Saturday morning. Morgan told her that she wouldn't be in Utah till next weekend.
The lady said she was starting the interview process and wasn't sure if it would still be available next week, because she wanted to fill the position soon. But that if it was she would call her.
Morgan was pretty bummed out! So Dad to the rescue... He makes 2 phone calls, and an hour and a half later Morgan is taking out her lake clothes and packing for an interview.
The truck arrives and Eddie, Jake, Joey (cousin), Lucee and myself load up and take off for the lake.
Morgan is left at home to catch a 6:00 am flight out of Santa Barbara. Once she arrives she will take a bus and hang out at Gateway until her interview or her friend Lauren can pick her up. Then she will attend the wedding of an old roommate.
Well, I guess this is growing up... Giving up your last weekend of summer at home to go and interview for a job for the school year. This will really boost Morgan's resume when she aplies for her major in broadcast journalism. Good Luck Morgan! See you Sunday night.

ahhhhh what a crazy weekend. im sad i missed the lake, but hey, it'll be there next summer. haha. i think the interview went well.
and dont worry jessica! i'll come down to babysit or have dinner any time! :) :)
oh and i also think i might stay in utah for thanksgiving. so that will be fun!
wow, a paid internship is really exciting! I hope she gets it! what nice parents to help figure things out.

don't you just love how life always has to throw in last minute changes. It's too bad she didn't get to spend her last weekend at home, but it's awesome the opportunity she is being presented. It's just especially cool she has such awesome parents to support her and help her out!
