This past week has brought great sadness as we are mourning the loss of one of Jake's friends. Jake's friend Amanda was struck and killed by a train at Emma Wood State beach on Tuesday evening. Please keep Amanda's family and friends in your prayers. She was a beautiful girl who should have been graduating high school this June and had plans to attend BYU-Idaho. The funeral services are tomorrow. I pray that the friends and family of Amanda will uplifted through this trial and that testimonies of our Saviors love will grow deep in their hearts and help them through these difficult days.

oh, my goodness. That is awful. I feel so sorry for her family and for your son. What a tragedy! It is nice to have a knowledge of the gospel when things like this happen...it still doesn't make the pain any less. So sorry for you.

That is so sad. So many dreams & aspirations left unfilled. How sad for her family.
That is just to tragic. It just never seems fair.
